Absolutely awful book

This book is poorly written and unedited. It is riddled with grammatical errors; the captions for the illustrations and samples are misleading; often the text that can't be distinguished from illustrations because of inconsistent use of fonts and dividing rules.
When one of the authors tried to discuss the difference between the executive, judiciary and legislative branches of the federal government, she forgot to describe the executive or perhaps didn't know what the president's function is.
One of the authors thinks that Black's is a common law dictionary. Perhaps she meant commonly used? No attorney would tolerate a paralegal or legal assistant with such poor communication skills as these authors possess; yet the book is supposed to teach the prospective paralegal to communicate in a legal environment.

Perhaps the least useful casebook on Evidence

All law students know that casebooks vary in utility, both for students, and practioners. My Criminal Procedure casebook, for example, was perfectly organized, beautifully cross referenced, and still remains part of my bookshelf, even as a practicing lawyer.
Green and Nesson's casebook on Evidence is everything that a casebook should not be. First, there are extremely few cases. The authors instead give the students "exercises" or "problems" to solve. Such exercises might be useful with the most organized and detail-oriented of evidence professors, but alas, most law faculty are anything but (and I speak as one who attended a Top 5 law school). The end result is that one never discovers the "answer" to any of these exercises. And due to the lack of cases, one never finds out what various courts would consider the "answer" to be either.
Evidence is almost a purely rule-based field. And most state evidentiary rules are now modeled on the federal rules of evidence. My advice, if one's professor has decided to use this particular casebook, would be to examine the rules carefully, and to purchase an evidence hornbook as an accompaniment. Otherwise one will have no idea what to do when it actually comes time to take the exam, the bar, or litigate in a courtroom.

Cheaper price

I found this outline to be very helpful in understanding the text for business administration. I would definitely recommend purchasing the outline if your professor is using the Business Administration text from Klein, Ramseyer, and Bainbridge.

On a side note, I will say the prices for the used copies of this outline on here are insane (the only one available is current $54). If you go to the publisher directly, you can buy the outline new for less money. (I found out about the books here and then went to that website to buy the books.) I wish amazon would sell new versions of the outline because then there won't be that problem. = /

About the Author
Steven Mark Levy is a former partner in the Los Angeles law firm of Lewis, D’Amato, Brisbois & Bisgaard, one of the strongest litigation and full service law firms in California. He earned his B.A. magna cum laude from Claremont McKenna College in 1974 and his J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall, in 1977. He was admitted to practice in 1977 (Oregon) and 1979 (California) and was with Lewis, D’Amato, Brisbois & Bisgaard from 1980 to 2002, where he specialized in litigation in state and federal courts and the representation of public corporations, including banks and other financial institutions.

Mr. Levy is the author of Aspen’s Regulation of Securities: SEC Compliance and Practice and is also the author of articles published in the Wisconsin Law Review, the California Law Review and other legal publications. He serves as judge pro tem in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

I would recomend Federal Money Laundering Regulation as a well-written guide to understanding and complying with U.S. laws and regulations covering money laundering and terrorist financing.

I purchased this book to help me untangle the hoary fact-patterns of the cases in the corresponding casebook. Unfortunately, this book was of no assistance whatsoever. Not only does the book not provide any context for the cases, I had to correct the fact pattern in the first brief I used. Total waste of $30. TOTAL WASTE.

If you need to read about administrative agencies for some reason where you actually get to select the textbook. This is actually a pretty interesting textbook.
