Best book on writing legal memos

This is the best book I've used for writing legal memos. After checking it out (and a ton of others) from the library twice, i bought it. The chapter on editing is a bible for me. This book got me through my summer legal internship.

This book is awful. Memo fragments are followed by ...

This book is awful. Memo fragments are followed by explanatory bits, which are followed by more memo fragment etc. Would be much more helpful if there were many more examples of finished memos given, and then those memos were analyzed..

This book was pretty helpful. I started law school without ever writing a memo before and was a little lost in my research & writing class. This book has a lot of pointers and common mistakes. However, it also has a lot of background information on the federal system, how laws are passed, ect... so if you're gonna use it as an aid, you should consider the time it takes to weed through the fluff to get to the substance.
